Rook's founders grew up working in the service trades, gaining hands-on field experience from an early age. Since then, our backgrounds have expanded across construction, field operations, project management, business management, and entrepreneurship.
That combination gives Rook an understanding of both sides of the relationship—what it takes to execute work efficiently in the field and what contractors, developers, property managers, and commercial clients expect from the companies they hire.

Meet the Founders
Rook Facility Services was founded by James Picinich and Tyrone Johnson with a straightforward goal: build the kind of service company they would want to hire, responsive, accountable, professional, and dependable.
Long before Rook, James and Tyrone grew up together in North Jersey and developed their work ethic through hands-on experience in the service trades. Today, they combine field experience, construction knowledge, operations, and business management to provide contractors and commercial clients with a higher level of communication, accountability, and service.
James Picinich
Co-Founder
James brings extensive hands-on service experience and an operations-first approach to Rook. With a background in commercial HVAC and years of experience building and managing his own service business, he focuses on field operations, quality control, workforce management, and delivering the consistent, dependable service Rook's clients expect.
Tyrone Johnson
Co-Founder
Tyrone brings a background in business management, construction, and service operations to Rook. With experience building and operating service and construction businesses, he focuses on business development, client relationships, estimating, financial management, project coordination, and Rook's long-term growth.
